Il Pecorino

In the splendid Tuscan hills, immersed in the Val d ’Orcia, a visit to a farm that has made an art of its trade, for an explanation of the elaboration of sheep’s milk. A walk in nature surrounded by breathtaking hills and a visit to the on-site shop for a chance to buy outstanding Pecorino directly from the site of production; where it will be possible to try all of the varieties of cheese produced. To complete the morning, a Cooking Class will provide you with the chance to participate in the preparation of typical Thscan Cuisine, in combination with the Farm produce: homemade Spaghettini, dressed with Extra virgin olive oil, “Cacio e pepe” (cheese and pe per), and Ricotta cheese and eggplant pie with an emulsion of Extra virgin olive oil and basil. The morning will end with a tasting of the dishes prepared.

The Chianina

In Trequanda, in the heart of Tuscany, a visit to a farm that raises the highly prestigious Chianina breed of cattle. A walk through the pasture and stalls will incite admiration of the splendor of this animal: the Gigante Bianco (Gigantic White). The morning will continue with a stop into the certified dealer 5R and I.G.P., where the principal cuts of meat will be illustrated. Later, a Cooking Class will give you chance to participate in the preparation of typically traditional Tuscan dishes: handmade egg pasta, white Chianina meat sauce and Chianina beef stew in Red Wine, prepared with meat produced on the farm.
